Makin Waves Cancellation Policies & Guest Requirements

Cancellation Policy

1. Full Refunds:

• Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance will receive a full refund.

• Refunds are also issued if Makin' Waves cancels due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

2. Same-Day Cancellations:

• Subject to a $50 per ski cancellation fee.

3. No-Show Policy:

• No-shows are non-refundable and charged the full price of the reservation.

4. Rebooking Policy:

• Free rebooking if done at least 24 hours in advance.

• Same-day rebooking incurs a $50 per rental fee.

 
Guest Requirements

1. Reservation and Check-In:

• Make reservations online to ensure availability.

• Arrive 45 minutes before your departure time. Late arrivals may result in a non-refundable forfeit of the reservation.

2. Zero-Tolerance Alcohol and Drug Policy:

• Guests under the influence will not be allowed to participate. Rebooking is available for a $50 fee.

3. Documentation for Operators:

• A valid government-issued photo ID is required.

• Guests born on or after January 1, 1988, must present a Temporary Boater’s Education Certificate (available online for $9.99).

• The original photo ID and a digital/paper copy of the certificate must be with you while operating the jet ski.

4. Credit Card Hold:

• A $500 damage deposit hold is required for each jet ski.

5. Age Restrictions:

• Operators must be at least 18 years old.

• Minors aged 16-17 may operate a jet ski with parental presence and proper certification.

• Passengers must be at least 6 years old.

6. Essential Skills for Safety:

• Fluency in English is required to ensure effective communication and understanding of all rules, regulations, and safety instructions.

7. Weight Limit:

• Jet skis have a 350 lbs. weight limit (combined). Guests exceeding this limit must operate a separate ski.

Additional Policies

1. Weather Cancellations:

• In case of inclement weather, you may rebook within a year or receive a full refund if the activity hasn’t started.

2. Safety Features:

• Complimentary life jackets and wetsuits are provided upon request.

• Lockers are available for belongings.

3. Accessibility:

• Accommodations are available for guests with disabilities. Contact us at least 24 hours in advance for arrangements.
